Dana's Breakfast Casserole (a.k.a. "Egg Thing")

Ingredients

6 eggs |
|
splash of milk |
|
1 tsp mustard powder |
|
pinches of spices: salt, pepper, oregano, cayenne, cilantro |
|
1 pkg Li'l Smokies, sliced (or vegetarian sausages) |
|
1 carton mushrooms, sliced |
|
1 onion, chopped |
|
1/2 loaf french bread, cut in cubes |
|
1/2 lb cheddar cheese, grated |

Instructions
- Grease a large casserole dish with butter.
- Sautee the li'l snausage slices and distribute evenly in the bottom of the casserole dish.
- Sautee the mushrooms and onions in the sausage grease and layer them on top of the sausages.
- Grate the cheese layer over everything else
- In a seperate bowl beat the eggs with the milk and spices, add the bread cubes to the egg mixture
- Pour the egg/bread mixture over the cheese layer, distribute evenly
- Chill the casserole overnight
- Bake without lid on 375 degrees for 1 hour
- *Note: Lots of spices make this thing good! Sometimes I sprinke some cheese on top of the bread too. Multiple cheese layers...Mmmm.
